Top service and cleanliness. Very friendly staff. All our special requests were handled efficiently and with lots of care. Nice bed linen felt good, the only hotel where the duvet was properly "hidden". Fresh shower curtain. Classy restaurant with table cloth (changed after each meal), nice music and fantastic food.

It’s a charming boutique hotel that kept its value through time. Staff is marvellous! The food is awesome! It’s a good place to rest, read, be in love, take your small kids because you will feel like you were hosted by family. And it is really close to the Douro vineyards, wine tasting, Douro boat or train trips.

The hotel was wonderful and very comfortable in a great location. Our evening meal was the best we had in Portugal The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed during the wine festival and had a Birds Eye view of the music

The hotel is old-fashioned but comfortable. Our room was large. Breakfast was good. The reception personnel was kind and helpful. Dinner was very good at the hotel restaurant.

Location is very convenient, as is the parking (not always the case with pousadas). in town, easy to walk to anything you would likely want to see. Breakfast had very good variety, and varied flavors...a big plus.

We asked for a wine and port tasting and were given a great history and local wine tasting event by David. Service and food was excellent in the dining room as well. Rooms were comfortable.
